DICOR(Text)

(Direct Ignition COmman Rail)
This system is used in most latest cars of tata motors. The cars using this technology includes safari dicor, indica dicor, indigo dicor, grande dicor.
This system uses a special single rail through which the fuel is taken to the combustion chamber of an engine. This helps to supply the engine an equal amount of fuel to each cylinder.

EGR (Text)

CATALYTIC CONVERTER

This catalytic converter is plased inside the muffler. This is just a chemical which reacts with the engine exhaust and makes that smoke almost harmless. This system is to reduce the automotive pollutants

MPFI(TEXT)

Multi Point Fuel Injection:
This system is used in petrol engines and is used in MARUTI cars. There are 2 types of MPFI, they are
1.D-MPFI
2.L-MPFI
D-MPFI is the manifold fuel injection system and L-MPFI is the port fuel injetion system.

SUPERCHARGER(TEXT)

This is also known as forced induction.
1.Supercharging increases the power output of the engine.
2.Supercharger is the pressure booster device which supplies air at a high pressure.
There are 3 types of supercharger, they are
*Centrifugal type
*Root's type
*Vane type

TURBOCHARGER(TEXT)

During engine operation, hot exhaust gases blow out through the exhaust valve opening into the exhaust manifold. The exhaust manifold and the connecting turbine route these gases into the turbine housing. As the gases pass through the turbine housing, they strike on the fins or blades on the turbine wheel. When the engine load is high enough , there is enough gas flow and this makes the turbine wheel to spin rapidly. Turbine is connected to the compressor housing. Centrifugal force throws the air outward. This causes the air to flow into the engine cylinder at high pressure. This enhances engine efficiency
